Young Arts Arizona Ltd. is a unique gallery, which exhibits the artwork of

challenged children. Since 1998 we have been responding to a need in our

community for challenged youth to discover their creative genius as an antidote

to a life full of crises.

By providing a setting for at-risk youth to exhibit their own artistic creations,

Young Arts Arizona serves a broad, continually expanding constituency: In

addition to our own gallery in downtown Phoenix, we have 29 publicly accessible

satellite galleries in Arizona. 16 of these satellite galleries are permanent and

show children’s art year round.

Young Arts collaborates with 34 schools and 22 agencies from which we solicit

children’s art to be exhibited in our galleries.

Young Arts focuses on children at risk who are socio-economically, physically,

emotionally, or learning challenged. By publicly exhibiting their artwork, we

empower the children to express themselves, stretch themselves and respect

themselves. We offer children an opportunity to build a positive self-concept and

thus give them a chance to become balanced, centered and self-assured adults.

Young Arts is a non-profit, community-based organization. We advocate making

children’s art publicly accessible as a means to enrich our community, while

facilitating artistic growth, innovation and self-worth in children.

Since 1999, Young Arts has held 282 exhibits in which over 7000 pieces of

children's art were and are being displayed in Maricopa County. Our exhibits
have reached an audience of over 3 million.
